Currently on the second of three train journeys from Tours to St Malo. This TGV to Rennes to due to arrive at 11h25 and that’s followed by a 10min connection for the local train to St Malo.
Thursday 23rd May Chris is on the overnight boat sailing from Portsmouth to St Malo. Apparently loads of school wains on the boat too! Route has been plotted out on Strava and we are staying at the various places in the table below. Tuesday 4th June Woke up to rain, rain and more rain! The heaviest we have had. A quick chat with the hotel reception allowed us to stay until 12:00 if we wanted to. So, a slow breakfast while we watched it sheeting down and it stayed that way until 10:45 and it cleared a bit. So off we went for our final ride, only for it to rain on us after 15 minutes. It didn’t last for too long which was good as the legs were not push he pedals over too well (at least mine weren’t). We didn’t have far to go go today. About 21 to 25 km depending on the route we took. So as soon as we could we turned off his main road and left the car and wagon traffic to itself and stayed on country roads as much as possible, as we have for most of the trip so far. We rode into the centre of Quimper for lunch and ended up eating a quiche under a shop awning as it started to rain again.
